Privacy Policy

Surfaced (“we”, “us”) provides SEO and AI-search optimization software at joinsurfaced.com. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

Information we collect

• Account information: your name, email, and organization.
• Site data you add: domains, competitors, prompts, and generated content.
• Google data you connect: read-only Google Search Console and Google Analytics metrics (clicks, impressions, rankings, sessions). We never modify your Google account or data.
• Billing data is processed by Stripe; we do not store card numbers.

How we use Google user data

When you connect Google, we request read-only access to Search Console (webmasters.readonly) and Analytics (analytics.readonly) solely to display your search performance inside Surfaced and to generate recommendations for your sites. We do not use Google user data for advertising, do not sell it, and do not share it with third parties except sub-processors needed to run the service (e.g. our hosting and database providers).

Limited Use disclosure

Surfaced’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Data retention & deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can disconnect Google at any time, and you can request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing privacy@joinsurfaced.com. Revoking access in your Google account permissions immediately stops our access.

Sub-processors

We use Supabase (database), Vercel (hosting), Stripe (payments), and AI providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, Google, Perplexity) to operate Surfaced.
